Saint Paul Urban & Community Forestry Project

Saint Paul is one of 385 cities that have been awarded $2M to support urban and community forestry programming. This funding was made available through the US Forest Service (USFS) and that Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

The grant funding was open to community-based organizations, Tribes, municipal and state governments, non-profit partners, universities, and other eligible entities. In total, the USFS received 842 applications requesting a total of $6.4 billion in funding, an indication of the urgent nationwide need to plant and maintain more urban trees.
