Overview
A Conversation / Rap Parlor (Class A) is defined as any establishment advertising, offering, or selling the service of engaging in or listening to conversation, talk, or discussion between an employee of the establishment and a customer, regardless of whether those other goods or services are also required to be licensed. This excludes bona fide legal, medical, psychiatric, psychological, or counseling services by a person or firm appropriately licensed, bona fide educational institutions, and panels, seminars, or other similar services offered by such institutions, churches, or synagogues. An Adult Conversation/Rap Parlor (Class B) is defined as a conversation / rap parlor which excludes minors by reason of age, or which provides the service of engaging in or listening to conversation, talk, or discussion, if such service is distinguished or characterized by an emphasis on "specified sexual activities" or "specified anatomical areas." No obscene work shall be allowed. If you have questions, contact DSI at 651-266-8989, or email the DSI Message Center.
