Notice of Availability
The City of Saint Paul has released an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the Mississippi River Learning Center Project in Saint Paul, MN. The project includes constructing the Mississippi River Learning Center, a multi-use, river-focused facility that would provide year-round environmental learning opportunities and outdoor recreation experiences.
This EAW also evaluates the potential future development of a Welcome Station atop the bluff along Shepard Road next to Crosby Farm Regional Park. The Welcome Station would serve as a welcoming space for visitors to park, as well as provide office space, public restrooms, and a public meeting area. The detailed design of the Welcome station is currently on hold though it has been included in the EAW to assess potential environmental impacts associated with its development, should it be constructed in the future.
