Earlier this year, OFE launched the LOCAL Fund: Worker Ownership and Community Ownership programs which uses a shared ownership approach to building community wealth and supports business retention. Shared ownership is a strategy that fuels vibrant and resilient local economies, creates quality jobs and addresses wealth and income inequality.

Money Action Day 2024

Money Action Day is a fun, family-oriented day that focuses on financial fitness for Twin Cities area residents.

This free, one-day event is designed to connect families to resources, tools, and support needed to reach their financial goals. It will include opportunities to connect to various resources including homeownership and building credit. There will be opportunities to schedule one-on-one meetings with financial experts and pull your credit report. There will also be family fun activities like face painting, crafts, games, food, raffles, and more!

Advancing Wealth Justice for the Citizens of Saint Paul

The City of Saint Paul has partnered with Chloe B. McKenzie and her team at 10Seven to conduct a study on Saint Paul residents' financial experiences. In an effort to fulfill the Mayor’s promise to advance economic justice, the City of Saint Paul is commissioning research to learn about the best ways to improve economic opportunities and outcomes for residents.

LOCAL Fund: Worker Ownership Program

The application deadline has passed. The City of Saint is no longer accepting applications for the LOCAL Fund: Worker Ownership Program.

The City of Saint Paul is seeking a partnership with a qualified organization to serve as a program administrator for the Local Fund: Worker Ownership Program. The program will increase the number of worker-owned businesses in the City of Saint Paul by alleviating start-up and transition costs and mitigating financial hardship for eligible worker-owned businesses.
