One dead after shooting on Saint Paul’s East Side

One person is dead and police officers are searching for another after a late afternoon shooting on Saint Paul’s East Side. At about 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, multiple 911 callers reported shots being fired in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the 800 block of Hazel Street North.

Mayor Carter Declares Sunisa Lee Day in the City of Saint Paul

Mayor Melvin Carter has declared tomorrow, Friday, July 30th, 2021 as Sunisa Lee Day in the City of Saint Paul in honor of 18-year-old Saint Paul native Sunisa Lee who has won an Olympic gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 women’s artistic individual all-around gymnastics competition.
