Why Was My Collection Missed?
Here are some issues that might prevent your garbage and recycling from being collected:
- Time: Carts not out by 6 a.m.
- Placement: Carts too close to each other or other structures.
- Must have three feet of clearance on all sides.
- Must be less than four feet from the curb or alley edge.
- Contamination: Items that don't belong in carts.
- Overflow: Cart is overflowing with the lid open.

You have several options for disposing of extra waste and recycling, whether you've missed a collection or have more materials than normal.

Holiday Collection Schedule
Garbage and recycling collection is delayed by one day during holiday weeks. If the holidays listed below happen on a weekday, and your collection day is on or after that day, your collection will be delayed by one day that week.
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
