Delayed Friday Garbage Stops

828 residential garbage collection stops, as well as 52 recycling stops at multi-unit (apartment) buildings, were carried over from Friday to Saturday due to road conditions slowing the pace of collection this week.

Drivers will return for collection on Saturday, December 13. If you were along one of these routes, please leave your garbage cart out for pickup.

If your garbage is not collected by 6 p.m. on Saturday, please report them using the Missed Collection form below.

Affected areas for garbage collection include North End, South of Maryland, and Thomas-Dale. Maps of these areas are below.
Multi-unit recycling carried over collections are mainly in the downtown area, with others in various locations.

Why Was My Collection Missed?

Here are some issues that might prevent your garbage and recycling from being collected:

  • Time: Carts not out by 6 a.m.
  • Placement: Carts too close to each other or other structures.
    • Must have three feet of clearance on all sides.
    • Must be less than four feet from the curb or alley edge.
  • Contamination: Items that don't belong in carts.
  • Overflow: Cart is overflowing with the lid open.

To ensure we're able to collect your waste and recycling, please follow all collection day instructions.
