The Organizational Committee is the Council's organizational body, comprised of all seven Councilmembers and chaired by the Council President. The first Wednesday of each month is the monthly Organizational Committee meeting where the Director provides an update on Council operations and the Councilmembers update one another on their work on various boards, committees, commissions, and other topics. The Organizational Committee is also responsible for receiving updates from city departments and partners on work that is ongoing.
The City Operations Committee is the Council's policy review and recommendation body, comprised of all seven Councilmembers and chaired by the Council Vice President. The City Operations Committee holds in-depth discussions with city departments and partners on policy topics that are new or changing and need the space for conversation.
Both bodies meet on Wednesdays at 10:00 am, January through early August, on an as-needed basis in either Council Chambers or Hearing Room 330.
