Description
The City of Saint Paul will be working with a contractor to make necessary sewer repairs throughout the City. These projects are funded by the sewer utility. There are no assessments to property owners.

Streets may be closed and no parking signs posted during sewer work.

Locations and tentative construction schedule

  • Desnoyer Avenue and Pelham Boulevard - Scheduled to start October 23 and last approximately 2 weeks
  • Mackubin Street and Van Buren Avenue - Scheduled to be completed by the end of November
  • Central Avenue and Oxford Street - Completed
  • St Albans Avenue and Grand Avenue - Completed
  • Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Central Park Avenue - Completed
  • West 7th between Walnut Street and Chestnut Street - Completed
  • Ohio Street between Alice/Winifred and Cherokee Avenue - Completed
  • In front of 4 Acker Street (near the intersection of Acker Street and Lightner Place) - Completed
  • Rice Street between Sherburne Avenue and Charles Avenue - Completed
  • 6th Street and Robert Street in downtown Saint Paul - completed (Note that other utility construction work is ongoing in this area.)
  • Crosby Farm Road between Gannon Road and Watergate Marina entrance from Shepard Road - Completed
  • St Paul Yacht Club parking lot - Completed
  • Kellogg Boulevard between Market Street and Wabasha Street and St. Peter between 4th Street and Kellogg Boulevard - February 26, 2024 - Completed

    Sewer work at northeast corner of Mackubin Street and Van Buren Avenue - scheduled to be completed by end of November 2024

    A contractor (PCi Roads) is working for Public Works Sewer Utility to complete storm sewer tunnel repair work on the northeast corner of Mackubin Street and Van Buren Avenue. This worksite and the access to the storm sewer tunnel are located within a city easement in front of 493 Van Buren Street.

    Potential Pedestrian & Traffic Impacts:

    • Security chain link fencing will be setup to secure the work area.
    • Sidewalk adjacent to the work area will be closed.
    • No parking signs may be posted near the construction site. Please follow all posted signs.
    • Access to driveways will be maintained.
