Highland Parkway Resurfacing

Project Updates

1. September 9, 2022

   This week (September 5-9)

   • All pedestrian ramps were poured.
   • Sidewalk on the south side of Highland Parkway from Mississippi River Boulevard to Cretin Avenue was poured.

   Next week (September 12-16)

   • Remove pedestrian ramps at Highland Parkway and Finn, and repour.
   • Remove sidewalk in needed locations on the north side of Highland Parkway from Mount Curve Boulevard to Finn Street.
   • Traffic control will remain in place until the work is completed

2. September 1, 2022

   This week (August 29-September 2)

   • Started pouring curb, gutter and sidewalks
   • Asphalt patching on the roadway has begun
   • Sidewalk has been removed in needed locations on the south side of Highland Parkway between Mississippi River Boulevard and Cretin Avenue

   Next week (September 5-9)

   • Continue to pour sidewalk and pedestrian ramps
   • Remove sidewalk in needed locations on the north side of Highland Parkway
   • Pedestrian ramp work will begin at the intersection of Finn Street and Highland Parkway
   • Traffic control will remain in place until the work is completed

3. August 25, 2022

    This week (August 22-26)

   • Completed concrete removals
   • Began installing curb and gutters

   Next Week (August 29-September 2)

   • Continue installing curb, gutters and sidewalk

4. August 19, 2022

   This week (August 15-19)

   • Concrete removals started again on Highland Parkway
   • Please follow all posted signs

   Next Week (August 22-26)

   • Curb and gutter will be installed as soon as possible
   • Asphalt patching will be done on the roadway

5. August 12, 2022

   Next Week (August 15-19)

   • Removals on Highland Parkway will begin again
   • Concrete work on the curbs and sidewalks
   • Traffic control will be set back up

6. July 22, 2022

   This week (July 18-22)

   • Started removals at the intersection of Highland Parkway and Cretin Avenue

   Next week (July 25-29)

   • Removals at the intersection of Highland Parkway and Cretin Avenue will continue
   • Removals at the intersection of Highland Parkway and Mt Curve Boulevard
   • Removals and work will be focused on the north side of the intersection first and then move to the south side
   • Traffic controls will be in place through out this work

7. July 14, 2022

   This week (July 11-15)

   • Started pavement removal and relocation of storm sewer catch basins
   • Storm sewer work should be completed by the end of the week
   • Once storm sewer work is completed, cuts in the street will be filled with class 5 to create a temporary drivable surface until the rest of the pavement and curb removals are done

   Next week (July 18-22)

   • Removal of curbs and sidewalks will begin
   • Traffic controls will be in place
