What is Food Scraps Recycling?
Recycling food scraps (also called organics) is a great way to reduce your waste. Collect food scraps and take them to an organics collection location. Collected organics go to an industrial compost facility where they break down and become compost. The finished compost is great for gardens and landscaping projects.
There are eight organics recycling drop-off sites in Saint Paul. Drop-off sites operated by the District Councils are open 24/7. Drop-off sites operated by Ramsey County have limited hours. See below for more details.
