Saint Paul police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead on the 600 block of Blair Avenue on Friday, Mar. 4.

Officers responded to a 911 call at about 11:30 a.m. and found a man lying in the backyard of a residence.  When officers arrived, they located a man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was unresponsive and not breathing. St. Paul Fire medics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.  

Patrol officers secured the scene. Homicide investigators were called in and began looking for possible witnesses. The Forensic Services Unit responded and will be processing the scene for evidence and working to determine what led to the shooting and who is responsible for the man’s death. The Video Management Unit will be searching the area for any video footage.

As of Friday afternoon, no arrests have been made.

This is the 10th homicide of 2022 in Saint Paul.
