Saint Paul City Council Honors Councilmember Jalali's Service and Leadership
SAINT PAUL – Today, the Saint Paul City Council expresses its deep gratitude to Council President Mitra Jalali for her exceptional leadership and dedication. For seven years, Councilmember Jalali has tirelessly advocated for the residents of Ward 4 and championed efforts to build a more equitable Saint Paul.
The Council acknowledges the difficulty of her decision to step down and honors her remarkable service to the community. "We are saddened to lose her as a colleague, but we are committed to carrying on her legacy of service," the Council shared.
Councilmember Jalali's contributions have left an indelible mark on Saint Paul, and her impact will continue to inspire and guide the work ahead. "Thank you, Councilmember Jalali, for your service, vision, and heart. You have made Saint Paul a better place," the Council expressed in their collective message of gratitude.
Considering Council President Jalali’s departure, the Council will announce new leadership next week and initiate a process to appoint an interim successor for Ward 4 immediately following Councilmember Jalali’s official resignation.
