Saint Paul police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Sunday, Aug. 29, in the city’s Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood.
After receiving a 911 call at about 8:45 p.m., dispatchers with the Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center sent officers to the intersection of Seventh Street East and Mounds Boulevard on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, the officers found a male believed to be in his late teens inside a vehicle. He was unconscious but breathing and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The officers rushed to render aid and secure the scene while calling for St. Paul Fire medics, who arrived quickly and transported the victim to Regions Hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead a short time later.

In addition, members of the forensic services unit will process the scene and the area for evidence, and the video management unit will work to locate surveillance video.
Preliminary information indicates this shooting may be connected to a road rage incident, however it’s unclear how the victim was involved. No arrests have been made.
