On Wednesday, July 13, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Saint Paul Police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Bates Avenue East. A 911 call was made to the Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center for a stabbing in a residence. Officers arrived and found a 38-year-old adult male stabbed, but conscious and breathing. Officers rendered aid and secured the scene. Saint Paul Fire medics arrived, rendered aid, and transported the victim to Regions Hospital.
On Thursday, July 14 around noon, the Saint Paul Police Department was informed the male had died as a result of his injuries while at the hospital. The circumstances surrounding the stabbing and death are still under investigation, however, there is no public safety concern.
At this time, no arrests have been made.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the man’s exact cause of death and positive identification. This information and any updates in the case will be released on the police department’s Twitter page, @sppdmn.
