Water Utility Technician II

We currently have 2 Water Utility Technician II positions we are looking to fill.

Our first vacancy will work with the Distribution Administration and Distribution Dispatch groups, as part of the lead replacement team. Here’s what you can expect to do: 

  • Process damage claims and direct charges
  • Submit Right of Way (ROW) and sewer permits
  • Create traffic patterns Index and create work orders
  • Provide billable work order quality control
  • Assist with customer service in the dispatch office

Our second position is for a skilled CAD Technician. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various CAD software and possess a strong understanding of drafting principles. This role involves creating detailed drawings within project timelines. The CAD Technician will collaborate inspectors, engineers, and project managers both internal and external to develop detail plans for various types of construction projects. Here's what you can expect to do: 

  • Develop and prepare detailed CAD drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D software
  • Update and maintain the McCarron's campus survey drawing
  • Develop and update 2D and 3D renderings of water treatment facilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and incorporate feedback into revisions
  • Develop CAD templates, blocks, catalogs, line types, LISP routines, and tool palettes and maintain records of drawings and revisions
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CAD drawings and as-builds
