Pause Garbage Collection

You can temporarily pause, or place a service hold, on garbage collection. You can do this either because you'll be away for an extended period of time or because you own a property that is not currently occupied.

Please note: You cannot pause collection due to temporary vacancy while a house is up for sale or rent.

Temporary Service Hold

Temporary service holds can be used for extended vacations or absences, temporary relocation, or other similar situations.

  • You must request a hold at least two weeks prior to the hold start date.
  • Qualifying absences must be a minimum of four weeks.
  • Residents may request up to two service holds per calendar year, not to exceed 26 weeks total.

To request a temporary service hold, complete our online request form below.
