The Saint Paul Police Department has invested in a state of the art facility to ensure officers are well prepared for challenges they will face on the job.
The Richard H. Rowan Public Safety Training Center offers a year round calendar of training opportunities for Saint Paul Police officers and the broader law enforcement community. All new officers at SPPD must successfully complete a xx week long comprehensive academy that will advance the skills you already acquired through the State of Minnesota required POST certification. This commitment to preparing you to perform at the top of your capacity continues with SPPD investing in advancing your skills throughout your entire career.
Our facilities are comprised of:
- Classroom and lecture halls
- Gym and fitness facilities
- Gun range for weapons training
- And rooms that can be reconfigured for situational training
