Join the Saint Paul Police Reserves
The purpose of the Saint Paul Police Reserves is to assist and enhance the Saint Paul Department by providing well-trained reserve officers. Our reserve officers are an essential part of the department, volunteering thousands of hours each year to support public safety in our community.
What Reserve Officers Do:
- Assist with traffic control and manage major events
- Engage with the community to build relationships
- Respond to crash scenes and provide support
- Perform proactive patrols and assist with bike pick-ups
While reserve officers play a vital role, their duties do not include the enforcement of general criminal laws of the state unless accompanied by a licensed peace officer.
Join Our Team!
We are always accepting applications. We typically host two academies each year, a few hours every Wednesday for 8-10 weeks, to train new reserve officers.
