Development Timeline

Sale and Construction | 2018–2022

In June 2018, Ford selected Ryan Companies as the master developer for the Ford site. Ryan Companies purchased the land on December 19, 2019, and work began soon afterward.

Master Plan | 2017

The Ford Site Master Plan, adopted by the Saint Paul City Council in 2017, brings a decade of planning to fruition. It guides mixed-use redevelopment of the 122-acre main assembly plant parcel and the adjacent 13-acre rail yard.

Community Engagement | 2007–2017

Through more than 140 public meetings of all sizes, the people of Saint Paul have shaped the development of a new neighborhood.

Planning | 2006–2019

In 2006, the Ford Motor Company announced that it would close its assembly plant in Saint Paul. Since then, the City has been working actively to plan for the site’s future.
