Several additional programs and policies enforced and suggested by Saint Paul Parks and Recreation help to preserve and enhance the natural habitats in Saint Paul.
Wildlife Feeding Ban
Feeding geese, deer or other wildlife is not only detrimental to the health of the animal but has serious environmental consequences. Feeding wildlife is prohibited in all of Saint Paul's parks and natural areas.
Section 201.01 of the City of Saint Paul 's Legislative Code states that “no person shall intentionally feed deer within the city.” This includes grain, salt licks, fruit, vegetables, nuts, and hay.
