Trail Guidelines

  • No dogs, boots, or non-fat tire bikes on the trails.
  • Snowshoes are allowed on the trails.
  • Sections of the bike trail are co-located with ski trails. In areas where trails are co-located, bikers must ride on the opposite side from the groomed classic tracks and should avoid the center of skate ski tracks.
  • Bikers must not ride on groomed classic ski tracks.
  • Bikers must yield to all other users.
  • Be respectful to all fellow trail users - slow down, smile and wave.
  • 3.7 inch tires or wider required.
  • Use low tire pressure - 8 PSI or less.
  • Only ride when the trail is fully frozen.
  • Allow time for the track to set up after grooming. If you are sinking an inch or more into the freshly groomed trail, turn around and give the trail a cold night to set up.

Chalet

The Highland National Golf Course clubhouse operates as a ski chalet during the winter months. Fat tire bikers are invited to use the chalet facilities. The chalet features local craft beers, full bar, snacks, and daily specials. Ski equipment rentals, restrooms, board games, and an expanded patio with a firepit are also available at the chalet. Visit the Cross-Country Skiing webpage for chalet hours.
