Member Requirements

Size:  21 members
Residency:  A majority of the members must be Saint Paul residents
Term:  Three years
Term Limit:  Three terms

Powers & Duties

  • Serves in an advisory capacity to and reviews the performance of the Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Department Director.
  • Conduct extensive assessments of the Department’s performance. 
  • Conduct studies, hearings, investigations, make recommendations and determine discrimination complaints under the Saint Paul Human Rights Ordinance, Chapter 183.
  • Serves as the Fair Housing Council.
