Help Is Available
The City of Saint Paul is coordinating closely with our emergency services and CommonBond Communities to conduct an emergency evacuation at 1247 Saint Anthony Avenue following a fire Sunday in the early morning hours. The fire was contained quickly without any injuries. However, as a result, a failure of an electricity system triggered sprinklers on three floors and caused a complete power outage.
Families have been relocated to hotels and accommodations around the Twin Cities. They will not be able to re-enter the building until is safely regains potable water, heat, electricity, elevator access, and a functioning, secure fire suppression systems and fire alarms.
