Project Overview
To provide a continuous, shared used, paved 1.3 mile regional trail through Cherokee Regional Park, which will provide an important connection to downtown Saint Paul and adjacent regional trails along the Mississippi River. In 2007, a conceptual trail alignment plan was developed n conjunction with a Design Advisory Task Force.

Since 2007, various funding sources have been secured to construct Cherokee Regional Trail from Annapolis Street to Plato Boulevard. Construction is scheduled to begin Spring 2012 with a Fall 2012 completion date.  Construction plans are currently being reviewed by MnDOT and the City of Saint Paul for final comments.

Overall Trail Alignment
A conceptual trail alignment was developed in 2007 with input from the Design Advisory Task Force committee. The 2007 trail alignment has been slightly refined with input from the project engineer. The preliminary and refined trail aligment can be viewed under Project Resources.
