HREEO – Shaping a Fairer Future

The HREEO department exists to serve Saint Paul residents and businesses by advancing justice and equity through education, advocacy, and enforcement. After the City of Saint Paul completed an equal access audit in 2007 to examine the City's contracting and workforce development policies, HREEO was reimagined in its current form. Existing City resources were consolidated to expand economic opportunity and work toward a more economically inclusive Saint Paul. The following divisions make up the HREEO department:

Supporting Accessibility: The Role of MACPD in Saint Paul

The Mayor's Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities (MACPD) advises and provides recommendations to the Mayor, City Council, and City departments on a range of issues impacting people with disabilities, from accessibility improvements to policy changes that ensure equal opportunities for all.


If you are passionate about creating a more accessible community or want to learn more about how to get involved, we encourage you to connect with MACPD and stay informed about their ongoing efforts to improve the lives of people with disabilities in our city.
