Saint Paul Public Works conducted a test closure of East 6th Street from Mounds Boulevard to Maria Avenue from Tuesday, September 18, 2018 to Friday, October 19, 2018.

During the test closure, the City measured vehicle, pedestrian and bike traffic counts at several locations in the neighborhood.  Counts were taken before and during the temporary closure. The City evaluated the overall impact of the test closure on East 6th Street as well as the surrounding streets.

To gather feedback from neighborhood residents and others who visit the Dayton's Bluff community, two meetings were held:

    • November 5, 2018 – Test closure findings
