Description of Work
General Duty Statement
Performs responsible professional work involving implementing, organizing, and assisting with arts and crafts programs. Develops, coordinates, and administers community arts or gardening development programs involving budgets planning and grant applications development. Assists arts groups and artists to create and maintain arts and crafts programs. Performs skilled work involving the maintenance and display of greenhouse and garden plants. Formulates general policies for developing arts or gardening as a viable recreational activity. Performs other related duties as required.
Supervision Received
Works under the technical supervision of a unit supervisor.
Supervision Exercised
May guide or orient lower-level support, technical, or professional staff.

- Demonstrates an understanding of the full range of theories, principles, terminology, procedures, and best practices regarding arts and gardening in varied forms and media. Demonstrates the ability to apply this understanding in resolving the full range of issues associated with the work.

Demonstrates an ability to apply this understanding in accomplishing work-related tasks and work-related research. Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Agriculture, or a related field. Seven years of management level experience with five years of field work experience in arts administration. No substitution for a bachelor's degree. Or, a Master's Degree in Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Agriculture, or a related field. Five years of management level experience with three years of field work experience in arts administration.
