Special Event Food Sales (Giveaway) License
Overview

A license for an individual or organization distributing food products at no charge. Food operations are restricted to the items, food preparation methods, and equipment that have been submitted with the application and approved by the director. Any change in the menu items, food preparation methods, and/or equipment require approval by the director prior to the give-away. This license shall be valid for only one give-away that shall not exceed three (3) consecutive days.

Application Requirements

You must submit the following:

Late Fee

Applications received less than seven (7) business days prior to the first day of the event shall incur a late fee equal to fifty (50) percent of the license fee.

Inspections

This license requires inspection approval from Environmental Health [Ph: (651) 266-8989].

The late and/or emergency fees are in addition to the license fee. Cash payment is required if applying less than eight days before the event.


Expiration/Renewal

A Special Event Food Sales (Giveaway) License is valid only for the date(s) of the specific event and shall be valid for only one give-away that shall not exceed three (3) consecutive days.
