Overview
This license is for a currency-operated machine that dispenses food products. Canned and bottled pop machines do not require a City of Saint Paul license (contact the
State of Minnesota Department of Agriculture
). The owner must have a
Food Vending Machine Owner License
.

of the Saint Paul Legislative Code for information about food vending machines.
Application Requirements
You must submit the following:
Class R City License Application
Proof of
Minnesota tax identification number
A list of vending machines (including type of items being sold and location of machine)
Proof of
Food Vending Machine Owner License
if machines are being placed in businesses other than the machine owner's business
Proof of
Food Vehicle License
if machines are being placed in businesses other than the machine owner's business
Required fee
Inspections
This license requires inspection approval from Environmental Health [Ph: (651) 266-9090] and Licensing [Ph: (651) 266-9090].
Fees
The annual fee for a Food Vending Machine License is $16.00 per machine.
Expiration/Renewal
A Food Vending Machine License will expire one year from date of issuance and may be renewed annually.
