The Civil Division provides legal advice to the City’s elected officials, to all City departments and all City boards and commissions.

Office of City Attorney: To represent the City in its legal affairs with integrity, professionalism, and collegiality.

Civil Division: To provide excellent and dedicated legal service to the City, the Mayor, the City Council, and all City departments and client organizations in order to assist in achieving policy goals, while respecting the rights of individuals and of the public generally.
