The program is an 11-week course, held one evening per week from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm at the Training Unit at 367 Grove St. There is no charge to participate.

Members who complete an 80 percent attendance will be awarded a certificate of completion at a ceremony presided over by Chief of Police Thomas Smith and leaders of our community.

The goal of the Citizen Police Academy (CPA) is to educate the citizens of Saint Paul with the operation of their police department while obtaining valuable feedback from those citizens.

The Citizen Police Academy is not intended to serve as accredited law enforcement courses, but merely to provide insight to the internal workings of the police department.
