Water Aerobics
Looking for a low-impact, total-body workout? Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is excited to offer a variety of water aerobics classes to meet your needs. Classes are open to swimmers and non-swimmers. Preregistration, with a minimum of six (6) participants, and walk-ins are welcome, though limited space and supplies are available.


Aquatic Conditioning
This class is designed for athletes and will utilize a variety of equipment for swimming drills and deep water aerobics. Participants must be able to swim.

  • Registration: a minimum of six (6) participants
  • Session 1: June 8–July 13
  • Session 2: July 20–August 24
  • Session Days: Sundays, 9:30–10:30 a.m. at Great River Water Park
  • Fee: $25/session (drop-ins are welcome at a rate of $6, though limited equipment and space are available)
  • Equipment: goggles, fins, paddles


Deep Water Conditioning
Transition from the shallow end of the pool the deep end in this engaging workout. Use equipment to build strength and endurance.

  • Registration: a minimum of six (6) participants
  • Session Days: Wednesdays, 6:30–7:30 p.m. at Highland Park Aquatic Center
  • Session 1: June 11–July 16
  • Session 2: July 23–August 27
  • Fee: $25/session (drop-ins are welcome at a rate of $6, though there limited equipment and space are available)


Power Water Aerobic Challenge
Want to add a little more to your fitness program? This class will add challenging choreography to your workout and is open to beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants.

  • Session Days: Fridays, June 13–August 29
  • Location 1: 9–10 a.m. at Great River Water Park
  • Location 2: 10–11 a.m. at Highland Park Aquatic Center
  • Location 3: 11 a.m.–noon at Como Regional Park Pool
  • Fee: $6/person (drop-in only)


Water Walking
Bring a bit of a splash to your walk by adding a belt for additional support or by adding webbed gloves for a deeper arm workout. This class is open to anyone with the ability to walk independently in the water.

  • Location: Como Regional Park Pool
  • Session Days: Sundays, 9:30–11 a.m.
  • Fee: $6/person (drop-in only)
