West Grand Zoning Study
West Grand Zoning Study
In August 2012, the Saint Paul City Council put in place a one-year moratorium for Grand Avenue west of Fairview, prohibiting approval of any buildings greater than 40 feet in height or having design features similar to "dormitory-style" housing. At the time the moratorium was put in place, the Council also asked the Planning Commission to study what type of development is appropriate for West Grand, and how this development should relate to the surrounding neighborhoods.

On March 8th, the Planning Commission released the study findings and recommendations--including zoning changes--for public comment, and set a public hearing for April 19th, 2013.

Below are links to the study findings and recommendations, along with a schedule for the zoning study, and a copy of the official notice of public hearing. This notice will also be distributed via ENS and posted in both the Saint Paul Legal Ledger and the Pioneer Press.
