Training Goals and Objectives
Through lectures, demonstrations, role play, and practical scenario applications this course is designed to develop advanced level 2 instructors in the L.O.C.K.U.P. ® Police Combat – Arrest and Control System. Students will be instructed in legal aspects of use of force, physical applications of arrest and control engagements. Students will be instructed to use the force reasonable to control a violent resisting or combative suspect(s) and will be instructed in teaching methodologies needed to instruct physical applications, scenario exercises and drills to develop competency. The focus is on developing a strong knowledge of immediate physical control tactics and techniques that is a reasonable, direct, and proportionate, response to all levels of resistance and aggression in multi types of environmental settings.
This course is instructed through a combination of lecture, physical hands on skills training, scenario exercises and drills. The course is to be delivered in a five day format; 0800 – 1700 eight hours in duration with one hour for lunch Maximum enrollment is 24 students.
