Bur Oak
Holly Avenue

Located at the intersection of Holly Avenue and Mackubin Street, this magnificent Bur Oak is a true landmark in the Summit-University neighborhood of Saint Paul. Photographs captured as early as 1890 reveal that this tree was already well established as the surrounding neighborhood grew and developed throughout the 1880's and 1890's. The tree's wide canopy arches over the street enriching the experiential quality of the neighborhood and providing shade to those out on a summer stroll.
