At this time the Saint Paul VISTA Program is no longer seeking proposals from organizations interested in hosting an AmeriCorps VISTA member for the 2013-14 program year.
All current Saint Paul VISTA Program projects must re-apply annually if they wish to continue hosting a VISTA member. VISTA projects are initially approved with the intent of a 3-year allocation. The re-application process exists to ensure continued project success, alignment with AmeriCorps VISTA and Saint Paul VISTA Program policies and goals, and progress toward sustainable capacity building.
The following is the VISTA Proposal, Award and Recruitment Timeline:
January 30, 2013 Application proposals due to Saint Paul VISTA Program
February 2013 Applicants notified of VISTA member award status – finalists asked to submit a Project Plan
March 15, 2013 Project Plans due to Saint Paul VISTA Program (for select sites)
March 2013 Saint Paul VISTA Program New VISTA Supervisor Training
March-June 17, 2013 VISTA member recruitment
June 2013 On-Site Orientation and Training Plans due to Saint Paul VISTA Program
June 5, 2013 Memorandums of Understanding signed and returned to Saint Paul VISTA Program
June 5, 2013* Final candidates selected and VISTA pre-enrollment paperwork due to Saint Paul VISTA Program
July 30-August 2, 2013* VISTA members attend CNCS Pre-Service Orientation (PSO)
August 5-6, 2013* VISTA members attend Saint Paul VISTA Program Orientation
August 7, 2013* VISTA members begin service at their sites
