MN Construction Career Hiring Expo
Ramsey County Workforce Solutions is hosting the MN Construction Career Hiring Expo on Tuesday, March 25th from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. The event will be held at the Carpenters Union Hall, located at 710 Olive Street, Saint Paul, MN 55130. The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for construction industry job seekers to meet face to face with construction contractors/unions that will be hiring for the upcoming construction season.

Skills Training: Goodwill/Easter Seals Scholarships
Opportunities are available to Section 3 residents through the Goodwill/Easter Seals Construction Skills Training Program. Section 3 residents who are interested in this program may be eligible to receive supports to go through the program, including:
  • Hand tools and a tool pouch;
  • Work clothes, coat, gloves, boots;
  • Transportation to the training (bus cards)
  • Specialty tools;
  • Protective equipment;
  • Medical needs (for example, prescription glasses);
  • Construction licensing fees;
  • Commercial Driver's License;
  • Securing a driver's license.

Tax Incentives
Employers who hire Section 3 residents may be eligible to receive the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC). This credit reduces an employer's cost of doing business.
