Plats of Subdivision
A plat is a map that shows the divisions of a piece of land. Information which is commonly found on plats includes: lot numbers, block numbers, streets, alleys, lot dimensions, alley widths, street widths, easements and dedication of public land. One may also find information on bodies of water or vegetation, although not a typical feature of most plats.  Plats which are available from the City of Saint Paul fall within the boundaries of Saint Paul Proper. Refer to the Maps Price List for cost of printing.  If City records do not include the plat you are searching for, please contact Ramsey County Records at 651-266-2000.

Encroachment Permits
Encroachment Permits issued by the City of Saint Paul allow use of public right of way by adjacent property owners.  A record of all valid issued Encroachment Permits is maintained in the Technical Services Division.  For more information about obtaining a permit, please visit the Encroachment Permits page.
