The
U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.
The EEOC may refer complaints to the City of Saint Paul that are initially filed with them or to the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights or the State Department of Human Rights.
Unlike the other departments listed above, the EEOC does not investigate charges of discrimination in any other area but employment.
