Insurance: After 30 days of employment, you and your dependents qualify for paid City contributions toward health and life insurance benefits
Retirement: Along with your contribution to the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA), the City also makes a contribution toward your retirement benefit package
Promotion: After meeting the necessary training and experience requirements, you will be eligible to test for promotional advancement to the rank of Sergeant after 4 years of experience as a Saint Paul Police Officer. If you have a bachelor's degree, only 3 years of experience is required.
Uniform Allowance: The Saint Paul Police Department grants you an allowance of $995.00 for uniforms and police-related equipment
Tuition Allowance: The City of Saint Paul has a tuition reimbursement program. Depending on availability, you may receive up to $600.00 per year for job-related education
