Reservations are accepted the first business day in January from Saint Paul residents only.

Beginning the first business day in February, reservations are accepted from non-residents.

Reservations are accepted for dates from mid-May through mid-October only.

Reservations may be made over the telephone at (651) 632-5111 with payment by credit card or in person at the Park Permit Office, 1100 N. Hamline Ave.

We will accept the following forms of payment made by walk-in customers: cash, check or credit card.

Full payment of the permit fee is due at the time reservation is made. Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance of event.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Chairs may be used at the different park sites for wedding ceremonies. However, chairs are not available from the Department of Parks and Recreation.

Tents may be erected if the Park Permit Office has been notified at least seven days in advance of event, has approved the tent location, and tent fee has been received by the Park Permit Office.

Fee for tent area: $55 for first tent, $30 for each additional tent. In some parks only "weighted" tents may be used.


CHARGES AND REFUNDS

Charges To Permits: Changes to date or location of a permit will be accepted up to 7 days prior to the scheduled date of the event. There will be a $25.00 charge each time you alter your picnic permit (time session change, date change, location change).

 Charge For Viewing Site Facilities Prior to Event: There will be a $25 charge for persons requesting to view the facilities before the event.  You must contact the permit office at least 7 days prior to your permit so arrangements can be made for a staff person to show you the facility.

 Refunds: No refunds will be issued less than 30 days prior to the permit. Permits under $150 will not receive a refund. Permits over $150 will receive 50% of the permit cost if the refund request is received 30 days prior to the event.  No refunds are given due to weather conditions.  If a permit is issued less than 30 days of an event, and the permit is canceled, the permit fee is non refundable.
