About Marydale Park
Marydale Park was officially established in 1974 after several years of efforts by North End community citizens to reclaim the area around Loeb Lake. According to reports at the time of the park opening, the lake and area around it had been used as a dumping ground for at least a half century. LOEB LAKE Loeb Lake is currently designated as a children's fishing pond by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. It is stocked each spring with crappies and bluegills.
