DESCRIPTION:Ever wanted to paint a bike lane, run a coffee shop or build a plaza? Volunteers are needed for The Better Block Project on June 8. All Saint Paul residents are invited to participate in this interactive event that will illustrate the City of Saint Paul’s Street Design Manual. There will be fun for all ages! \n \nThe event will take place on East 7th Street between Margaret and Arcade Streets. Teams will transform this block into a “Complete Street” with walkable and bikeable amenities and pop-up businesses. \n \nBetter Block Schedule \nJune 6 & 7 – Pre-build workshops from 5 – 10 p.m. \nJune 8 – Better Block Project set-up from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.; event from 3 – 8 p.m. \n \nThe Better Block concept builds on the “Make it Happen” initiatives of the Dayton’s Bluff Community Council and feedback from the event will be incorporated into the city’s Street Design Manual.
